Dr. Egammai Manikandan is the Founder and Chief Dentist of Pearl Dental Chennai, with over 18 years of clinical experience in advanced dentistry and implant rehabilitation. A distinguished academician, she completed her Bachelor's degree in 2008 and her Master's in Prosthodontics in 2012, graduating as a Gold Medalist and securing State Second Rank in the postgraduate entrance examination. Since 2020, Dr. Egammai has been an integral part of the Apollo Proton Cancer Centre, where she leads the Dental Department and plays a key role in the oral rehabilitation of head and neck cancer patients. Her expertise lies in Strategic Implantology and Immediate Loading Dental Implants, enabling patients to receive fixed teeth without prolonged waiting periods, even in complex cases involving severe bone loss, uncontrolled diabetes, or compromised immunity. Recognized as a leading expert in her field, Dr. Egammai has delivered numerous lectures and hands-on training programs for dentists and senior practitioners across India. She has also authored multiple publications in national and international journals on prosthodontics and advanced implantology. Since establishing Pearl Dental Chennai in 2013, she has transformed the smiles of over 5,000 patients and successfully placed more than 15,000+ dental implants.
